Class of 2027 Freshman Barbecue

The annual North Chicago Community High School (NCCHS) Freshman Academy BBQ was on Thursday, September 7th, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the high school courtyard. All first-year students and their family members were welcome to join. The event provides outdoor seating, fun music, and great food, including hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers.
In addition to the food and games, the barbecue was also an opportunity for first-year students to meet their classmates and teachers. Many teachers and NCCHS staff were present to support the event and hand out "Class of 2027" gear, including t-shirts and travel bags.
The freshman barbecue is a tradition at many high schools. It is a way to welcome new students to the school and help them feel comfortable and connected. It is also a chance for students to learn about the many clubs and activities available.
